Welcome to ....
SANCHEZ BROTHERS RALLYING
No, we aren't the Blues Brothers, but just as crazy, nor are we the Doobie Brothers, but better than them !! We are Jose ( Brad ) and Hose-B ( Ian ), and we are rapt and privileged to be participating in Shitbox Rally Autumn 2020, an epic journey through Central, Northern and Eastern Australia.
Our trusty steed, a 1998 Camry we call "El Toro", will be our home for more than 2 weeks, and she will be reliving past glories as we put smiles on the faces of residents of outback towns and communities, purely for the purpose of raising funds for the fantastic charity, Cancer Council.
Sanchez Brothers Rallying mission - to put smiles on the faces of those experiencing life-threatening cancers via the funds we raise because we put smiles on the faces of those that care.
Jose has been impacted by cancer, with the sad loss of his father ( Leo ), brother ( Lloyd ), sister-in-law ( Pam ), and even his best friend, his dog Shelby. Hose-B has been treated for melanoma, lost his mum ( Peggy ) to breast cancer and has a brother ( Brett ) who has survived lymphoma. Together we aim to raise $10,000, and with your help, interest, care and appreciation of the cause, we are confident we can surpass this modest goal.
Sanchez Brothers Rallying, in conjunction with Shitbox Rallies Australia, and via our own Mad Max Machine, "El Toro", are happy to play our part in this crazy adventure, raise awareness and funds, share the dream with over 200 other teams, and maybe do it all again in 2021 !!
Just look out for us when we coming knocking on your doors.....we will be the ones wearing sombrero's !!
Cheers / Aclamciones
Jose and Hose-B
Shitbox Rally is the adventure of a lifetime challenging participants and their cars, worth no more than $1,000, on a 7 day drive across Australia to raise money for cancer research.
The rally is not a race – it’s a fun, colourful, unpredictable adventure with participants travelling at their own pace in smaller groups. Vehicles often break down but “we never leave anyone behind” and each night is spent camping beneath the stars and celebrating the day’s achievements. It all adds up to an incredible opportunity to see Australia’s vast and beautiful countryside and make lifelong friends, many brought together after experiencing cancer themselves or seeing cancer impact family and friends.
Since it’s inception the rally has been the largest fundraiser for the Cancer Council nationally.
Shitbox Rally is a dedicated fundraising event for cancer research with funds going to Cancer Council.
Cancer Council is one of the largest non-government funders of cancer research in Australia. We conduct and fund research studies across all cancers and all stages of the cancer journey.
Thanks to the community funds raised such as Shitbox Rally we can fund world-class research that reduces the impact of cancer for everyone.
Almost $20 million has been raised by Box Rallies to date, supporting ground-breaking projects such as:
These projects wouldn’t be possible without your support.
