It is a time of great uncertainty...
Cancer can strike down loved ones with little notice.
Shitbox Rally in support of the Cancer Council has struck back, raising over $20,000,000 for Cancer Research since its inception. Shitbox Rally is not a race, rather a challenge to achieve the unthinkable… To drive cars worth just $1,000 across Australia via some of its most formidable roads, all in the name of charity.
Our plucky Rebels, and their Millennium Falcon (see: hunk of junk) seek to assist in the fight against Cancer by driving nearly 4000KMs of largely unsealed roads from Alice Springs to the Gold Coast...via the Gulf of Carpentaria. Their goal is to raise over $6000 for Cancer research and set a record for the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy to complete the Kessel Run.
They need your help.
The roads are tough, and without your assistance, they might not make it. Everybody knows someone who is, or has been afflicted by Cancer, your Donations will help win the fight and restore freedom to the galaxy...
Shitbox Rally is the adventure of a lifetime challenging participants and their cars, worth no more than $1,000, on a 7 day drive across Australia to raise money for cancer research.
The rally is not a race – it’s a fun, colourful, unpredictable adventure with participants travelling at their own pace in smaller groups. Vehicles often break down but “we never leave anyone behind” and each night is spent camping beneath the stars and celebrating the day’s achievements. It all adds up to an incredible opportunity to see Australia’s vast and beautiful countryside and make lifelong friends, many brought together after experiencing cancer themselves or seeing cancer impact family and friends.
Since it’s inception the rally has been the largest fundraiser for the Cancer Council nationally.
Thanks to all of our sponsors and supporters we've raised over $5000 for the Cancer Council!
Unfortunately due to current events (COVID19) the Shitbox Rally 2020 Autumn has been cancelled/postponed until 2021. We're continuing to raise funds and have a new goal in place for 2021. Even in these tough times, Cancer is still a major issue and some of those with Cancer are now at even greater risk with the current pandemic - every bit helps and we continue to stay focused on striving for a cure.
Shitbox Rally is a dedicated fundraising event for cancer research with funds going to Cancer Council.
Cancer Council is one of the largest non-government funders of cancer research in Australia. We conduct and fund research studies across all cancers and all stages of the cancer journey.
Thanks to the community funds raised such as Shitbox Rally we can fund world-class research that reduces the impact of cancer for everyone.
Almost $20 million has been raised by Box Rallies to date, supporting ground-breaking projects such as:
These projects wouldn’t be possible without your support.
